GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators coach Will Muschamp said Wednesday that Jeff Driskel will start at quarterback Saturday at Florida State barring any unforeseen hurdles.

Driskel suffered a sprained right ankle at home against Louisiana Nov. 10 and missed last week’s win over Jacksonville State. Jacoby Brissett started in his place.

However, Driskel returned to practice Monday and has looked sharp according to Muschamp.

“Obviously we still got a couple more days of practice, but he looked good enough to me that he’ll be fine,’’ Muschamp said. “He looked fine. We did everything we normally do. There was nothing limited within the package of what we do with him when we normally prepare for any game.”

Muschamp, speaking on the SEC’s weekly media teleconference Wednesday, said the Gators expect to be near full-speed against the Seminoles.

He said receiver Andre Debose (knee), fullback Hunter Joyer (thigh) and starting right tackle Chaz Green (ankle) looked good in practice Tuesday and will play.
