GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators will be without receiver Andre Debose in today's game vs. Missouri.

Debose tweaked a leg late this week in practice and remains sore. Debose has served primarily as Florida's kickoff and punt returner this season but was expected to fill the role of injured receiver Solomon Patton today against the Tigers.

Patton suffered a season-ending broken arm in last week's loss against Georgia.

Meanwhile, Gators kicker Caleb Sturgis tweaked an ankle late in the week and could be limited. Sturgis leads the SEC with 15 field goals.

Junior Brad Phillips will handle kick-off duties and the plan is for Sturgis to try to kick field goals if his ankle passes the test in pre-game drills.

If Sturgis can't kick field goals, Phillips will serve in that role.

Phillips filled in for Sturgis last season against Georgia and made 2 of 3 field goals and two extra-points.

In addition, it appears starting left tackle Xavier Nixon (knee) and defensive end Lerentee McCray (ankle) will not play. Gators coach Will Muschamp called both questionable earlier this week. Freshman D.J. Humphries was announced as the starter in Nixon's spot during pre-game announcements.

Both Nixon and McCray were on the field but not in uniform as the team went through warm-ups.
