FAQ – Team Camps

Where is check-in?

University Women’s Club: 324 Woodlawn Dr, Gainesville, FL 32611

When is check-in?

Friday June 20, 2014 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The first games will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m.

What is needed at check-in?
  • Completed payment ($575 per team if registered prior to 6/6/14, $675 if registered after 6/6/14)
    • NO PERSONAL CHECKS will be accepted on day of registration. Cash, School Checks, Money Orders and Certified Bank Checks are all acceptable forms of payment.
  • Team Roster (15 copies)
    • EVERY PLAYER PARTICIPATING MUST BE ON THE ROSTER! NO EXCEPTIONS! Coaches will be asked to sign a roster sheet at check-in verifying the information for each player.
    • Please bring a copy of your roster TO EACH GAME to give to the score keeper. By bringing 15 copies of your roster you will avoid the hassle of having to fill out a roster for the scorekeeper before each game.
  • Signed parent waiver and insurance information FOR EACH PARTICIPANT ON THE ROSTER!
  • Physician’s Clearance FOR EACH PARTICIPANT ON THE ROSTER! (Physicians signature on consent form or physical)
What forms must be filled out and signed for camp participation for each team member?
  1. Consent form with parent signature
  2. Physician’s statement (on consent form) or copy of school physical from within one year of camp.
Can I send a physical instead of getting a doctor’s signature?

We can only accept a physical that has been completed within one year of the last day of your camp session. School physicals are acceptable.

Should I bring the necessary forms and physicals with me to camp, or send them in advance?

Please send us your paperwork as soon as you have everything.

We would like to have as much paperwork for your team in advance of camp to get each team checked in as quickly as possible.

Do players need medical insurance to attend camp?

Each player must have medical insurance. The camp carries an EXCESS medical insurance policy to cover medical expenses for injuries/accidents which occur in the course of camp activities. Medical expenses, including any deductibles, which are declined for payment through the camper’s personal insurance and/or through the excess policy become the personal responsibility of the camper’s parents/guardians

If a player doesn’t have medical insurance, they can purchase insurance for the week at Floridian Quote.

Is there a meal plan? Where can it be purchased?

Meal plans are available for purchase online while registering and will also be available to purchase at check-in.

Meal plans are $50 PER PERSON (Everyone planning to eat must pay for the meal plan, including coaches and parents).

Meals are provided by the all-you-can-eat Gator Dining Corner located on campus across from the O’Connell Center.

Meal tickets will be distributed at check-in.

May parents watch?

Parents are welcome and encouraged to come and watch their children.  Although there is not always a designated section to sit and watch, parents are welcome to sit in any area that will not be disruptive to camp activity.

What is the camp refund policy?

Refunds will be handled on a case by case basis at the discretion of the camp director with compliance office approval. Cancellations after June 6 will include a $100 online processing fee. Full refunds are available (minus a $20 online processing fee) for extenuating circumstances, regardless of when we are notified, with documentation.
