Serena Wilson Staff Assistant

Responsibilities: Provides direct support to the assistant coaches, while overseeing a number of projects, including the annual alumni reunion, recruiting weekends and summer camps

Joined UF Staff: July of 2004 as a basketball manager; full time since August 2010

Prior to UF: has been working with the women’s basketball team since July of 2004, serving as a team manager and earning her way to the role of head manager for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons

Education: B.S. in Sport Management (Florida, 2008); currently pursuing a Master's degree in Recreation Administration and Supervision

Hometown: Port Orange, Fla.

Behind the Stats: Serena is ecstatic about the opportunity to continue her work with the Gators. She loves working with the women's basketball staff and players, who are truly her extended family. Serena is the proud daughter of Rufus and Janice Wilson and has one sibling, Rudy, who works in the athletic department at Ole Miss. In addition, Serena enjoys traveling, meeting new people and attending as many Gator athletic events as she can!
